You might think this story is a little heavy to have some connection with the supposedly innocent Peppa Pig cartoon, but the missing episode of this animation reveals a lot about what was really behind the creators' minds. Everyone should know that before airing, the series undergoes true curation by professionals and directors of the network, mainly to prevent double meaning content or something considered too heavy to be shown to children. Everything related to this children's series and the macabre story of the Yellow Room began with the original idea of the plot.

This series was thought to show how children should behave when they lose someone close to their family. Showing children how to deal with more adult issues has always been the main desire of those who created this cartoon. And that yellow room was a way designed by the creators of Peppa Pig to address the deaths of secondary and tertiary characters in children's cartoons. They wanted to treat the yellow room as a kind of "butcher shop" where the characters would die and then be devoured by their fellow series: an idea to show that life is imperfect and that the food chain needs to be respected.

In the episode in question, Peppa would lose her grandfather. He would be the first character to be killed in history. The reason? The end of year celebrations were approaching and the characters responsible for capturing the animals (humans) would enter the scene. The episode that shocked everyone was told by a former employee on an internet forum and, according to him, some children had access to the episode so that they could test the effects that that content would have.

The episode, the first of the series, started with a dark tone, but with a very lively song. Peppa and her parents were going to visit her grandparents, and when they arrived, they started a conversation about the Thanksgiving festivities. Peppa's grandfather was very concerned about the proximity of that date: "I lost an old college friend in the last year", making it clear that the older ones were chosen to go to the yellow room. Innocent, Peppa asks what the yellow room would be and has the dreaded answer: "the place where we will all go one day to rest and give joy to many people".

The episode reaches its climax when humans appear. Completely strangers and wearing white clothes with numerous red marks, the men already appeared on the scene with knives in their hands and, in front of the main character, one of them stuck the knife in the old grandfather's neck. The clothes turned even redder with the blood that the cut splashed. Perhaps out of jealousy at not having killed a pig either, the other human chooses Peppa's grandmother for his Thanksgiving dish. The cut in the middle of the old piggy's back yielded another river of blood. Peppa's parents and she ran away. The scene cuts to a yellow room where you can see the remains of pigs being cut and treated to be roasted.

After another brusque cut, Peppa and her parents are already at home, washing clothes with the blood splatters of loved ones. The screen cuts for the last time and shows the human table completely reassembled with the roast pigs being devoured on the table. One of the humans gathers the rest of the food and leans out the window of the yellow room and throws the leftover food. The scene cuts again to Peppa and her family who are still traumatized by what happened. Someone calls at the door: it's the delivery man with a pizza box. When they open the box, they come across the remains thrown out the window and eat them.

The children who watched this episode showed worrying pictures, according to psychologists. The images were identified as murder and cannibalism. The episode had to be completely excluded from the broadcaster's system and other professionals were invited to write the current format of the cartoon.
